Applications have now closed.

The Northern Territory Government’s Graduate Development Program is a best practice recruitment strategy to develop new generations of employees whose ideas, ambition and leadership potential will help shape the future of the NTPS.

Graduates from diverse disciplines and backgrounds are encouraged to apply for the program to help meet the current needs of the NTPS.

Graduates have the opportunity to begin their career with the NTPS in an environment that continues their professional training within a supervised workplace. The NTPS regularly identifies disciplines needed in its future workforce and offers employment to Graduates as part of its strategic succession management. Thus participants in the program fill an important role in the development of the Sector.

The GDP is a one or two year program, dependent on the agencies needs. It is available Territory wide and enables graduates to obtain employment in the public sector at appropriate and attractive remuneration levels and to participate in a program of professional development. The salary of a Graduate is dependent on the length of degree and relevant work experience undertaken, and can vary between $46,240 - $52,366 with possible six monthly incremental progressions based on performance and achievement of identified outcomes.

The intake for Graduates commences in approximately February each year.  The advertising and recruitment process commences in September.
